Indicative Itinerary
Our guide will meet you at the airport and drive you to your accommodation for check in. You will then be driven to Chidiya Tapu, a patch of moist evergreen forest located to the south of Port Blair. This beautiful seaside forest his considered as one of the finest places in Andaman for birding. This is a best place to see highly secretive Andaman Crake. Other species of birds expected to see here are Andaman Woodpecker, Andaman Treepie, Andaman Serpent Eagle, Black-naped Oriole, Andaman Drongo, Olive backed Sunbird, White-headed Starling, Fulvous-breasted Woodpecker, Stork-billed Kingfisher, White-throated Kingfisher, Collared Kingfisher, Chestnut-headed Bee- eater, Brown Coucal, Alexandrine Parakeet and Red-breasted Parakeet. etc.
As sun sets for your first night in the Andamans, we will move on to our next site for night birding. This is a great area for nocturnal birding especially for species such as Andaman Scop Owl, Andaman Hawk Owl, Humes Owl, Oriental Scop Owl etc.
After night birding, we will travel back to our accommodation for dinner and night stay.
Mean Plan : Dinner
Sholbay is now emerging as the prime birding area for water birds and few highly sought after migrates and residents such as Rudy Kingfisher, can be seen during our boat trip. We will cover the walkable parts of the wet land first, searching for species such as Andaman Bulbul , Andaman Crake , Andaman Cuckoo dove, Blue eared Kingfisher , Andaman Coucal before boarding our small boat to explore the deeper side of the wet land. Our prime target for the boat tour is Rudy Kingfisher.
After Lunch we will go to Shippy Ghat , a wet land area for species such as Andaman Teal, Crakes , Ducks and water birds etc.

We will go back to the Sholbay again in the morning today as one morning is not enough to pick up all species seen in this area. If we had missed on Rudy Kingfisher on the previous day , we will repeat the boat trip again today .
After-noon is for Ferrar Gung forest . We are likely to see many forest migrants that we might have missed in previous days. We have got many surprise sightings of hard to see migrants in this area in our previous tours.

Mount Harriet National Park, is a tropical moist evergreen forest. This traditional hot spot of birders is a good place to see many endemics such as Andaman Woodpecker, Andaman Wood Pigeon, Andaman Cuckoo Dove , Andaman Crake, Fulvous-breasted Woodpecker, Dollarbird, Collared Kingfisher, Brown Coucal, Alexandrine Parakeet, Red-breasted Parakeet, Red-breasted Parakeet, Pintail Snipe, Whitebellied Sea Eagle, Andaman Treepie , Black-naped Oriole Andaman Drongo, Orange-headed Thrush, Olive backed Sunbird, White-headed Starling etc .
In the After noon we will go to few additional sites, depending on tides and local sighting reports to see and photographers shore birds or forest birds.

We will do one more round of night birding for Nightjar and Owls today
We will check out from our accommodation early in the morning and drive to Chidiya- Tapu again for our last round of birding in Andamans. You will be searching for new species as well as trying to better you shots of species already seen and photographed. We will bird till 10 .30 AM before travelling to the Airport to board your afternoon flight to Chennai.
